Here is the rubric that I will use to assess the Harmony Project:

Harmony Notation

Group was able to correctly notate their harmony parts without instructor input.

Group was able to correctly notate their harmony parts with some instructor input.

Group struggled to correctly notate their harmony parts with instructor input.

Group was not able to correctly notate their harmony parts with instructor input.

Singing

Group members’ voices were strong and the words could be understood as they were performed.

Group members’ voices were strong but the words could not be understood as they were performed.

Group members’ voices were weak and it was hard to understand the words.

Group members mumbled the words to the song making it difficult to understand the words.

Materials

Group's materials are complete with each member’s paper including the harmony notation and words.

Group’s materials include the harmony notation and words but not all the group member’s papers.

Group’s materials include some group member’s papers and/or the harmony notation and words.

Group's materials are not complete because they do not have the harmony notation, words, or group member’s papers.

Attitude/ Enthusiasm

All group members participate equally and contribute to the presentation.

All group members but one participate equally and contribute to the presentation.

Half of the group members participate and contribute to the presentation.

One or two group members participate and contribute to the presentation.

The Total score is times (X) 2.  e.g.:  a student who gets all fours would have a total of 20 x 2 = 40 for a final score.
