Day 1

Here are the activities for Day 1 of the opera unit.  This includes group activities and individual activities.  Below the Day 1 activities is a link to the leader and recorder page for their responsibilities.

DAY 1

ACTIVITIES:

On a separate piece of paper:

1. Each member should list 1 different appropriate guideline for group work.
2. Each member should list 1 appropriate consequence for inappropriate behavior.
3. Each member should list 1 positive comment about him or her and share with the group.
4. Each member should list 1 area they would like to improve and share with the group.

Journal Activity:

1. The first journal entry should be about one of the different types of music that you listened to over the weekend.
2. The second journal entry is: “What I expect to get out of the opera unit.”
3. Remember that each entry needs to be at least 4 complete sentences or one paragraph.

Additional group activities:

1. Begin work on your Opera Presentation (project) “Hansel & Gretel.”
