This club is designed to enhance and enrich the student's background in the history of Rock & Roll. We will look in depth at the beginnings of Rock & Roll in the 1950's and continue to the present day. This will be a general overview as the amount of material available is overwhelming. It is hoped that the student will be able to better understand how present day music has roots in the earlier versions of Rock & Roll.
Our activities will include a lot of listening to various types of Rock & Roll from all different eras as well as from different countries. We will start with the earliest forms of rock and it will be divided as follows:

We will also be viewing several different videos of some groups performing their songs. Currently they include Meatloaf, The Who, some groups from the 60's.
It is also planned to do a virtual tour of the History of Rock and Roll Museum which is in Cleveland, Ohio. We will do this either at the computer lab or in the school library.
